   We hear a lot today in American culture about being fat. Our children are too fat, we are too fat, and we're only getting fatter! Something must be done to curb this growing epidemic of celluloid. Physical conditions and symptoms are fairly easy to recognize. However, some mental symptoms are less obvious. Luckily, we have the ultimate tool in recognizing and trimming mental fat: Technical Remote Viewing!

   False beliefs and false assumptions permeate our society just like obesity. They clutter our thinking, making us come to faulty conclusions. When I studied philosophy, I was stunned by the realization that some people base their entire lives on a couple of key concepts; many of those not even conscious. Sometimes these key concepts are even in conflict with each other; now, if your key concepts or ideas are correct (or close to actuality), your life will generally be productive. Your "map" is close to the actual terrain of life, so to speak.

   In Buddhism one of the main goals is to "see what is really there," with no distortions. We have perceptual filters that distort our view of life and ourselves. Gradually, a student can strip away these perceptual filters and see what is really there. When we see what is really there, we can respond appropriately and effectively.
